The Emergency Preparedness Committee:
works with all emergency service providers to
try to ensure we are adequately prepared in case of a major emergency and
have adequate service for general emergencies
maintains a database that will be available to
emergency response personnel in the event of a major event. This
database lists people that may have special needs and also locates
equipment that may be useful in an emergency.
helped in funding the emergency generator at
Nanoose Place which is the designated emergency shelter for this area.

works with Fairwinds and the RDN to attempt to
ensure that resident's concerns regarding ongoing development are
addressed.

Regional Strategic Planning Session and Official Community Plan.

of joint concern.
is investigating alternate municipal government

works to ensure all residents are offered the
opportunity to express their concerns in a proactive environment
we are striving to have 100% of the community

Grassroots &
Parks Committee
Mandate: to work for
the betterment of our community parks and to liaise with District 69
Parks and Recreation Dept. to promote this objective.

The Grassroots & Parks Committee:
currently is organizing work groups to improve
and maintain boulevards and Park spaces.
works with Emcon to monitor and ensure an
appropriate level of maintenance of the roads
works with RDN Parks department to try to ensure
safe and usable park space.
Social Committee
Mandate: to organize social functions and events

The Social Committee:
hosts an annual Christmas Party to provide an
opportunity for all residents to join in celebrating the season.
This event raised $15,000 for a local charity (Society of Organized
Services) last year.
