Christmas message
from the Executive |
|
On behalf
of the Board of the Fairwinds Community Association, we wish you a happy and
joyful Christmas season. During the past year we welcomed many new members
to our association as well as new members in the community. The Board
continues to work hard on your behalf, dealing with water quality and
conservation, parks, emergency preparedness, government regulations and our
newly established grassroots committee which should be making some
noticeable improvements in our community next year. We thank you for your
continued and vital support to make Fairwinds such a wonderful community in
which to live. |

Fairwinds Gala for Charity |
|
The 2nd
annual Fairwinds Gala for Charity, hosted by Fairwinds Community
Association, was held on Friday,
December 5, 2008. This special event raised $15,865.00
for the
Society of Organized Services by holding live and silent auctions. The SOS
provides a range of programs in District 69 assisting people of all ages in
the Oceanside area. Whether it be counselling for teens or Meals on Wheels,
SOS is there for the community. |
|
Thanks are extended to the members of the
gala organizing committee and volunteers, to businesses and individuals who
donated items for the auction, and to the bidders who participated in making
this a very successful fundraising event. We are fortunate to have such an
active and generous community. |
|
FCA would also like to thank Fairwinds
Resort for their significant contribution of expertise and resources, items
for the live auction, and sponsorship of the evening’s entertainment |
